Based on the observation that prescription of osteoporosis drugs have increased significantly between 2000 and 2008 in England and France, and started plateauing/declining since then, I embarked into the adventure of attempting to explain those changes in both countries.
In practice, my thesis displays three research axes:
(1) A systematic literature review of osteoporosis prescribing/use trends and patterns in England and France
(2) A qualitative and historical documentary analysis of five types of policy documents with potential to influence prescribing/uses of osteoporosis drugs (e.g. clinical guidelines)
(3) A qualitative analysis of interviews with English and French prescribers of osteoporosis drugs.
